  • A redesigned Action Center with alerts for treatment plans, online bookings and payments — the bell in the bottom-right corner now also tells you when a patient signs a treatment plan or asks a question on one, books online, or pays (or fails to pay) through a payment link. A forms packet gets one card that fills in as the patient goes (“New Patient Packet · 3 of 7 forms”). Filter by type with the new chips, reply to texts and plan questions right from the card, and send a new payment link from a failed payment in two clicks. By default, clearing a card now clears it for the whole office; Admins can change that in Settings → General. Broken appointments are no longer Action Center alerts. → Action Center overview · Rules at a glance
  • Send a photo to Open Dental from a patient’s profile — a new Photo to OD button in the profile action row lets you snap an insurance card, a medication list or any other document on your phone and file it into the Open Dental image category you choose. Tap the category, then Send to that category; nothing is sent until you do. → Sending a photo to Open Dental
  • Patients who text STOP stop getting every text — when a patient replies STOP (or another stop word), Teamio now holds back every text to that phone number: reminders, recall, campaigns, workflows, and anything your team sends, for everyone who shares the number. The patient’s profile shows why the Text button is grayed out, a note is added to the Open Dental communication log, and texting starts again as soon as the patient replies START. Held-back texts use no credits, and email isn’t affected. → When a patient texts STOP
  • Validate phone numbers and Social Security Numbers on forms — two new validation rules, Is Phone Number and Is Social Security Number, check that an answer is a real 10-digit phone number or 9-digit SSN before a patient can submit, in any formatting they type it. Add Required alongside either rule if the field must be filled in — on its own, a format rule still allows a blank answer. → Configuring a control → Validation Rules
  • Email a patient from their profile — the Email button now opens a compose box. Write your own email, or start from any of your text or email templates, with variables like the patient’s first name and next appointment filled in. It goes out from your practice’s own email address with your email signature, and a note is added to the patient’s communication log in Open Dental. → Emailing a patient from their profile
  • Forms by email: each form is a link — when you send forms by email from a patient’s profile, each form’s name in the list is now the clickable link, and your line breaks are kept. → Sharing a form with a patient
  • Create a task from a patient’s profile — a new Create Task button in the profile action row opens a task already attached to that patient. Assign it, set a due date, and it lands in My Tasks and in a new Tasks card on the profile that lists every open task for that patient. → Create a task from the patient profile
  • Make a photo or file upload required — File Uploader (and legacy Attachment) controls now offer the required, min, and max validation rules, so a patient can’t submit without attaching, say, a photo ID; min and max cap the number of files. Required fields of every kind now show a red asterisk next to their label on the patient’s form, and an upload that blocks a submit outlines its drop zone in red. → Configuring a control → Validation Rules
  • Packets now show progress and pick up where a patient left off — every section of a packet displays a progress strip (“New Patient Packet · Section 2 of 3”) and swaps the button to Save & Continue until the last section, saving each form the moment the patient continues. If a patient closes a packet link and reopens it later, it skips the sections they already submitted instead of starting over, and shows a friendly page if every section is already done. → What patients see in a packet
