Recurring tasks
For routines — sterilization logs, deposit reconciliation, weekly supply checks — set the task to recur and Teamio creates the next instance for you. Each instance is its own task with its own comments and history.
Set a task to recur
Section titled “Set a task to recur”There are two ways to make a task repeat.
As you type it. In the composer, enter a recurrence phrase in plain language — every Monday, every day — and Teamio sets the repeat for you.
From the Task Details panel. This is where you fine-tune the schedule:
- Open the task (select its text) to slide out the Task Details panel.
- Find the Due Date section and select the Set to repeat link next to the heading.
- Choose a frequency from the select that appears: Never, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
- Set the sub-options for that frequency (below).
- Select Save Changes.
Sub-options by frequency
Section titled “Sub-options by frequency”- Daily — tick Exclude Saturday and/or Exclude Sunday so weekday-only routines skip the weekend.
- Weekly and Bi-Weekly — a Repeat on: button group lets you pick the day(s) of the week. Bi-Weekly runs every other week.
- Monthly — set On day N of the month, or tick Repeat on Last Day of the Month so it always lands on the last day regardless of month length.
- Yearly — set On the Nth day of [month], with the same last-day-of-month option.
Repeating tasks show their frequency in the list’s Repeats column as a clickable tag — selecting it filters the list to repeating tasks.
How renewal works
Section titled “How renewal works”When you complete today’s instance (or a future-dated one), Teamio creates the next instance immediately, so the series never has a gap. A duplicate check prevents a second copy if the next instance already exists.
A separate overnight job — run in your practice’s local timezone — only rolls forward repeating tasks that were left incomplete and whose due date was yesterday. So an instance you finish early won’t wait for the overnight job; the next one is already on your list.
Stop a series
Section titled “Stop a series”To end a recurring task, delete it and choose Yes - All instances in the Delete Repeated Task prompt. To skip just one occurrence without ending the series, choose Yes - Delete next instance only instead.
- Recurring tasks shine on Today’s Dashboard — the morning routine is just there every day.
- For a multi-step routine, spell the steps out in the task’s subtasks so whoever picks it up can tick them off.
- If an instance didn’t appear when expected, see a recurring task didn’t appear.
