Deleting forms safely
Deleting a form is permanent and it can break things you’ve already set up, so Teamio puts a few safeguards in the way. This article explains what they mean.
Delete a form
Section titled “Delete a form”- On the Forms page, find the form in Your Forms.
- Select the trash icon (Delete Form).
- Teamio runs a reference check — Checking if any templates or pages link to this form… — then shows the confirm modal.
- Review the warnings (below), then confirm.
What the warnings mean
Section titled “What the warnings mean”- Shared links will stop working. Every link you’ve already sent for this form goes dead the moment it’s deleted. If patients still have outstanding links, they won’t be able to open the form.
- Form in use by templates or pages. If a wiki page or SMS template references this form, the modal lists them and warns Deleting this form will cause broken links. You must tick I understand these templates will have broken links before the button changes to Delete Anyway.
Protected forms
Section titled “Protected forms”Some forms are protected and can’t be deleted at all — their trash icon is disabled with the tooltip This form is protected and cannot be deleted. This guards system or shared forms from accidental removal.
Deleting a packet
Section titled “Deleting a packet”Deleting a packet (its trash icon, Delete Packet) removes only the bundle — The individual forms will not be deleted.
Before you delete
Section titled “Before you delete”- Editing is usually better than deleting. A form’s past submissions keep their answers, and edits flow to outstanding links — so reworking a form rarely requires deleting it.
- Replace shared links. If you must delete a form patients are mid-flight on, build the replacement first and send fresh links.
