Huddle & Analytics overview

Today’s Huddle is the page your team gathers around in the morning: production, collections, new patients, outstanding claims, and per-provider numbers, all on one screen and all read live from Open Dental. Three buttons in its header open the deeper reports — the ones you use to decide something rather than just to read the day.

What’s in this section

• Running your morning huddle — what’s on the page and how to run a ten-minute meeting off it.
• How the Huddle numbers are calculated — every production formula, and why today’s figure changes as the day goes on.
• Treatment Presented vs Accepted — what “accepted” actually means, and how much of your diagnosed treatment is getting booked. Start here if someone is asking about case acceptance.
• Production trends — production per clinical hour, provider rankings, and period-over-period comparison.
• Setting provider goals — office and per-provider goals, which is what every goal bar on the Huddle measures against.

Who can see this, and when

• The Huddle is visible to Admin, Manager, and Employee — it is hidden from the Outsourced role. A site’s Feature Permissions matrix can further limit access for Manager, Employee, and Outsourced users; it never affects Admin.
• Set Goals is not admin-only. Anyone who can open the Huddle can open and save provider goals.
• A date picker beside the Today’s Huddle title lets you read the whole page as of any past date. It does not drive the slide-out reports — those carry their own date controls.
